Another Terrorist Attack In Turkey- With Friends like These.... Coup 2.0 & More

Yup, I'm  a day late with this post. But, I managed to round up some interesting little tidbits.
Including some very enlightening quotes that I found  to be under reported- Or out of context so their full meaning cannot be grasped.... Headlines screamed 'erdogan blames the kurds' but he didn't exactly blame the kurds as you will see and read. And the Deputy Prime Minister  offered up some insights too.

We're going to get to that and more so have no worries.......

The blast in the central Anatolian city of Kayseri happened at around 8:45 a.m. local time and targeted a civilian bus carrying troops on weekend leave from a nearby commando base, Turkey's armed forces said in a statement. At least 56 people, including 48 servicemen, have been injured in the attack, Turkish officials said.
"Those who failed to invade Turkey on July 15 are trying today to discourage Turkey with terrorism and push our people to despair," Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said in Kayseri hours after the attack, without naming a culprit. "Terrorism in Turkey will end; we are determined to do this."
What party tried to invade Turkey on July 15/2016? It wasn't the Kurds, so what player/destabilizer is being referenced here?

Reuters:
Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said similar materials were used in both attacks. In comments probably aimed at Washington, he called on Turkey's allies to stop support for militants.
He also said something far more interesting-
"This is what we expect from our friends: Not just a few messages of condemnation, but for them to fight on an equal ground against these terrorist organizations with us," Kurtulmus said in a television interview.
Gosh who are these "friends"? Cause Russia is on board with fighting terrorists-

Putin tells Erdogan: Russia ready to enhance cooperation with Turkey on anti-terror fights

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that his country is ready to increase cooperation against terrorism, Kremlin said on Saturday, as Turkey's central Kayseri province was hit by another terror attack perpetrated by the PKK terrorist organization.

Putin called Erdoğan shortly after the attack, which killed at least 13 soldiers and injured 55 others, to express his condolences to Erdoğan.
He reportedly said that he was sure the response to such terrorist attacks should be a more resolute struggle against terrorist groups
So the 'friends' comment is not aimed at Russia

Pay attention to what Erdogan says:

Times colonist:

"We know that these attacks we have endured are not unrelated to happenings in Syria and Iraq, or even our economical fluctuations," Erdogan said.
Flashback: Turkey Faces Economic Sabotage. Turkey Paid IMF Debt in 2013

Let's see... Turkey cooperated with Russia in Syria to the chagrin of it's NATO 'allies'
As mentioned in this post Russia and Turkey Pushed the West Out of Syria
The Istanbul bombing. More of the same destabilization that's been going on for years now. But it also looked to me like a ‘shot across the bow”- A warning.  The timing of the Istanbul bombing, immediately preceding the imminent liberation of Aleppo?
So Aleppo is liberated. Russia, Turkey, Iran et all are cooperating together and quite obviously the US/France/UK/Israel team is furious!

In fact on December 27 there will be a meeting in Moscow.. Turkey, Russia, Iran to hold meeting on Syria in Moscow on December 27 to discuss Syria and more

These nations are all cooperating

Let's put the three quotes all together... to maximize the understanding and impact of the separate statements

"Those who failed to invade Turkey on July 15 are trying today to discourage Turkey with terrorism and push our people to despair," Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu  "Terrorism in Turkey will end; we are determined to do this."
"This is what we expect from our friends: Not just a few messages of condemnation, but for them to fight on an equal ground against these terrorist organizations with us," Kurtulmus said
"We know that these attacks we have endured are not unrelated to happenings in Syria and Iraq, or even our economical fluctuations," Erdogan said.
Reuters surmises these comments are "probably aimed at Washington" It seems to me these comments are DEFINITELY aimed at Washington. No if's, and, or buts about it!

Turkey coup 2.0- American Enterprise Institute aka Neo-Con Central
AEI- Michael Rubin

Earlier this afternoon, I wrote about how the battle for control within the military is accelerating with one faction openly defiant of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Word out of Turkey suggests that Erdogan is taking the situation seriously.
The instability may expand beyond Erdogan and elements more loyal to Dogu Perincek: One ex-police chief has also speculated that followers of Fethullah Gülen, thousands of whom have been purged, arrested, or dispossessed of their property, might also try to assassinate Erdogan. That is a charge Gülen’s followers would deny—they have said they eschew violence and deny the accusations that any top officials were involved in the abortive coup.
Dogu Perincek- The Maoist? Can anyone enlighten me as to who this communist is?
Neo-Cons (judaics?) and Kurds love Communism.

AEI- neocon/mmunist central
But, behind-the-scenes, there is a story with ramifications as great: the competition for control of the military between followers of Erdogan on one hand and those of ultra-nationalist and former Maoist political leader and businessman Dogu Perincek on the other.
Perincek’s followers have long occupied top roles in the Turkish military, which was fine when Erdogan and Perincek sought to take on common enemies: Kurds, liberals, followers of Fethullah Gülen etc. I had previously written about the Erdogan-Perincek struggle within the Turkish military here, but now it seems that the conflict may be accelerating.
In recent days, Perincek has appeared on television and insisted Erdogan give up on his dreams of changing the constitution. He has cited a letter from a member of his political party calling for a popular rebellion and has now openly called for a change in government. Perincek has also suggested that Turkey could be aflame by March. One prominent Perincek supporter, prominent retired air force officer Ahmet Zeki Ucok has openly said there will be a new coup, but with full buy-in from all levels of the Turkish military.
To make a business analogy, Erdogan may have become Enron, his fall inevitable even as he projects an image of strength and stability. Either Erdogan goes or Perincek does. That Perincek still walks free perhaps answers the question about who will survive.

I read a whole heck of a lot of Turkish news - in English- Haven't heard of this communist Perincek- Michael Rubin has. Which leaves me with more questions about who he is? And who his friends are?
Watch out Turkey cause the neo cons have your nation in their sights and they have for years now.

Information appreciated?

  1. Dogu Perincek is a Eurasianist. He believes that Russia should turn away from the west & ally with Russia, Iran & China etc. He's a good guy, he has huge influence in the deep state, & is close to Moscow. He was imprisoned for 6 years as part of the Ergenekon trials conducted by AKP & Gülen.
He has been a close supporter of Erdogan since the coup attempt.
He is justifiable angry about Erdogan trying to implement one man rule, & dividing the nation, when they should be unified.
Michael Rubins articles should be read as an indication for what the CIA want's to do instead of any sort of analysis bound to reality.
Reitereted through his articles recently, is that Erdogan will be assassinated, & that there will be a bloodbath in Turkey, so I presume that is what the CIA & neocons want to do.

    1. Hi Rescue:
I just read this article about Perincek

      http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2016/10/turkey-power-struggle-between-islamists-and-secularists.html

He seems quite influential already despite his party not taking many votes in the election.

" He's a good guy, he has huge influence in the deep state"

I get that impression from the linked article

He is justifiable angry about Erdogan trying to implement one man rule, & dividing the nation, when they should be unified.

I just don't get the idea that Erdogan is attempting one man rule- The changes he is looking for are right in line with the US and Russian presidential system (from my reading, also wrote about that here)

Turkey appears to me to have constitutional issues that should be fixed- the last constitution came out of the last military coup- that can't be that good.

Michael Rubins articles should be read as an indication for what the CIA want's to do instead of any sort of analysis bound to reality.

Agreed which was why I ended this post

"Watch out Turkey cause the neo cons have your nation in their sights and they have for years now"

Think of Nuland and the Ukraine?

    2. Penny, do you know who Erdogan is, and what he has done?
He allied with Gülen and destroyed all of Turkeys traditional institutions, in his quest to found "new Turkey".
He supported jihadis in Syria, most of whom are under direct control of MIT, he murdered 1000s of Syrians with these death squads.
He is responsible for brining Turkey to the brink of destruction.
What Erdogan is trying to implement is not like the American or Russian presidential system.
The system he want's abolishes all checks and balances, the parliament will be powerless, and it will be one man rule.
The imperial presidential system is part of Erdogans neo-Ottoman dream. His idea is to break up Iraq and Syria, establish Arab and Kurd autonomous regions under de-facto Ankaras control, & with him as President for life, probably with a dynasty.
It was Turkeys former President Turgut Özal who wanted this originally in the 90's. That's why Turkey supported the establishment of the KRG.

    3. Hi Rescue:
I had some articles posted here on the Presidential system change and none of the information contained with in came across as that dictatorial

In all information I'd come across the system was very similar to the US and Russia's presidential system-

Additionally it seems to me Turkey needs some changes.. since it's constitution came out of the last coup and surely makes possible another one

If Turkey is anything, at this moment, with that constitution, it is is a military dictatorship along the lines of Egypt- which I also understand there are similarities in that aspect too

      http://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.ca/2012/08/egypts-military-adopts-turkish-model-to.html

"Field Marshal Tantawi asked for a translation of Turkey’s 1982 constitution, which both endows Turkish officers with wide-ranging powers to police the political arena and curtails the power of civilian leaders.

This change based on the Turkish model ensured Morsi was nothing at all as a leader- and then he was overthrown- say what you want about Morsi but every turmoil inducing incident weakens Egyptian stability more and more.. Causing the society to crack and weaken.

The constitutional model Turkey has affords the military the same opportunity.

You speak as if he already has all the power.. yet I'm also aware his position is largely ceremonial.

The changes have to be approved before they are undertaken..

Leave something for me to read that demonstrates your point - I would appreciate it a great deal thanks!

  2. Another thing we should notice is how the entire MSM paints Kurds as victims of Turkish persecution after each bombing, even as the PKK/TAK is responsible.
The Turkish ppl, or victims of the attacks, are never in focus. Reporting is through the prism of Kurds. After the burning of HDP offices all over the country, the MSM claimed it was a porgrom against 'the Kurds'. It is also always insinuated that these are Erdogans false flag attacks to target Kurds, like the coup was staged by him.
Of course between the lines you can read that Erdogan is like Hitler in the 1930's, only waiting to commit genocide against Kurds.
They are laying the ground for a military intervention, where we (NATO) will have to save Kurds from Erdogans genocide. Thereby carving out the biggest piece of greater Kurdistan.

    2. Hey Rescue- Again!

and boy oh boy I've noticed the media presentation

The headlines were screaming Erdogan blames Kurds-- but he didn't- he didn't cite them by name at all.

Which was why I used the quotes in the post- it's clear turkish leadership is pointing at the US, knowing full well the "kurds" are proxies

And the insinuations- it never ends.. in the main stream and so called alternatives-

Definitely the groundwork is being layed and the seeds are being planted
