UN tells Israel to let in nuclear inspectors

The UN general assembly has overwhelmingly approved a resolution calling on Israel to open its nuclear programme for inspection.

The resolution, approved by a vote of 174 to six with six abstentions, calls on Israel to join the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) "without further delay" and open its nuclear facilities to inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Nations voting against Israel's compliance?
"US, Canada, Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau"

Yes, Canada.  While wearing knee pads, no doubt.

Canada was one of only six nations in the UN General Assembly to vote against a resolution Monday that called on Israel to quickly open its nuclear program for inspection

  3. A very stealthy story indeed Pen. It's nowhere to be found on Reuters or on the UN website.

RT, breaking: Syrian rebels kill 29 students in attack on school near Damascus

The spooky 'Wired: Danger-Room' preps another narrative - Exclusive: U.S. Sees Syria Prepping Chemical Weapons for Possible Attack By Noah Shachtman and Spencer Ackerman.

and of course this _is_ covered by Reuters: NATO warns Syria not to use chemical weapons

Israel sought Jordanian permission to destroy chemical weapons sites in Syria - well they are such considerate neighbours after all.

"Israel does not need Jordan’s permission to carry out such an attack, but it is reportedly concerned given that a number of potential targets are not far from Jordan’s border with Syria.

An Israeli official told the Atlantic: “You know the Israelis, sometimes they want to bomb right away. But they were told that from the Jordanian perspective, the time was not right."

Intelligence sources have detected that Syria has been transporting the components of chemical weapons to new locations.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Monday that the US will act if chemical weapons are used.

This is a red line for the United States,” she said. “I'm not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against their own people. But suffice to say we are certainly planning to take action."

    1. But now:

"There is no evidence yet that the Syrian military has actually begun the process of mixing precursor chemicals to produce deadly Sarin nerve gas, a senior defense official told NBC News on Tuesday."

      http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/04/15676708-no-evidence-syria-mixing-chemical-agents-pentagon-official-says?lite

But in the same article it mentions:

"Citing concern about the possibility that Syria might use chemical weapons as well as the potential spillover of the ongoing civil war, NATO foreign ministers decided to deploy a Patriot missile defense system in Turkey on Tuesday."

Hey. I've seen this move before!

The U.S. and NATO hemmed and hawed at Turkey's "request" for Patriot missiles. Now they create a dramatic moment right as they announce plans to further assault Syria to distract from their aggression. Notice the slick propaganda and how they blame their victim as they move in a bit closer for the kill. They make allegations that are impossible or difficult to disprove ("when did you stop beating your wife"), or simply false. Then it's cute how they walk back those allegations the day after their aggressive move ("we didn't see him beat his wife, but he's got a motive and we'll keep watching him.")
